  1. again, love the designs! so original. let's just hope that quality doesn't get lost in transferring it to the screen...looking at my Disney coffee table books, it sometimes seems as if the best artwork is in concept sketches :)

  2. Kaicito has hit the nail on the head here. This work is stunning, how faithfully are the images here transferred to the screen?

  3. Hey Tomm, just found the blog. I knew that I'd miss something cool if I didn't checkout Drawn for a few days.
I happened to come across your site from a link on Gene Blakefield's "Genepool" blog.
I'm so glad you started a blog on the project. It really looks AMAZING. Best of luck with it. The images you are putting up are beautiful. Of course you are immediately linked. Tell Aiden hello. Hope your head's not too bad after yesterdays celebration.
I saw Robin had left you some comments early on. I wish I'd have found this a while ago. Looking forward to seeing more. I'm very happy that you are making this blog.

  5. Great looking stuff - looking forward to see the film! I especially like the middle-age-ness of the art.

By the way - I don't know if or what the film has to do with "the book of kells", but I once visited the library in Trinity College - and it was one of the most charming and memorable places I've ever seen.

  9. Hi Tomm - You mentioned that you made a trailer for this a few years back. Was it featured on a DVD that came bundled with a crazy colorful book about animation? I swear I remember seeing that trailer a few years ago and being SO excited for this film because it looked so different from everything else being done in feature film at the time. (And now, too.) It's great to hear that the film is off the ground and running. I'm graduating from animation school in a few months and if I had my pick of projects (ha!) this would be at the top of the list. Thanks for making the blog and keeping us updated!
