  2. Hi! Just got my commission (of Aisling) in the mail, I just want to say that it's one of the most fantastic things ever. Thankyou so much, and for producing such an inspiring and original animation. <3 I love your work to pieces.

Also, thought I'd link you to some fanart I drew a couple of weeks back: http://pspynett.deviantart.com/#/d34fhj9

  3. Just saw the movie after much anticipation. Unfortunately, I missed the American screenings... but I loved the film! It was alot of fun and the animation definitely lived up to the hype! Hope there's an art book in the works, looking forward to the graphic novels!

  4. Just saw it at home, on Christmas day after dinner, in New York, on Netflix. (Serendipitously following your suggestion above.) Amazing, beautiful. So beautiful I cried. I went onto Wikipedia to read a bit more about the historical background of Kells, and also went to imdb to find out more about the movie, which lead me to this blog. I have always loved Celtic illuminated manuscripts, but to see them animated and coming across every aspect of the movie was simply gorgeous and stunning. I also play the fiddle and love Celtic music. I am Japanese, love Miyazaki movies, and found it interesting that you just went to the Ghibli Museum. Thank you so much for making this movie!!!

  6. Thank you, Tomm! I just streamed the movie from Netflix and watched it with five of my Episcopalian Benedictine brothers in the north end of our library, while a blizzard blew over our cemetery behind us. What a perfect way to finish Christmas week-end. The movie is stunningly beautiful. I will show it again to Library Volunteers who come spend a few days here from time to time; it will be a nice change from Brother Cadfael mysteries ;-)
From Holy Cross Monastery, West Park, NY; a Belgian monk-on-the-Hudson, very proud of the Belgian contributions to your movie. Go Europe!
