Had the pleasure of having dinner with John Lasseter ,his family and the lovely people from Disney Ireland, Brown Bag Films and IFTA on Monday night.
John told me he picked up a copy of the The Secret of Kells Blu Ray in his local Barnes and Noble :)
Thanks to Trish Long for inviting me and to Darragh O'Connell for this nice snap!

That's very true! Such an exciting life it must be! =)
ReplyDeleteFantastic!
ReplyDeleteHey, I have just found your blog and I was wondering if you are really from Ireland or have Irish heritage.
ReplyDeleteI am from Dublin, Clondalkin specifically. I haven't been able to find many Irish bloggers who write consistently and have content I enjoy reading. Do you have any recommendations.
Hey Tomm - sorry for the non-sequitur, but is there any chance of a 'The Art of The Secret of Kells' book coming out? I'd be fascinated to see MUCH more of the creative process behind your brilliant film. Thanks - and congratulations on the accolades and opportunities your hard work has afforded!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it was a mutually beneficial dinner ... I also bought your dvd the day it came out and have recommended it to so many people.
ReplyDeleteI was inspired to see you purchased Sherm Cohen's storyboarding secrets (on Twitter). I want to be the same way ... constantly learning about animation till the end of my career!
