Ode to Brazil

Thanks to Jean Moura over in Lightstar for sending me these pictures of the Brazilian team.
Jean and Herle Kuhl are looking after the team in her studio who are doing clean up and inbetween on a chunk of the animation there.
Just wanted to say a big thank you to all the artists there here on the blog , for all their hard work.
It feels weird to have never met you and I'm sure its weird for you all to be drawing Irish monks all day. So from rainy wet Eire to sunny Brazil - Go raibh mile maith agaibh.

alone again

Weird feeling this week. Pretty much down to just me and Nora on Brendan. All the other artists are on exciting new CS projects. Nora is half time on Brendan and rest of the time on new projects we are developing. Skunk Fu rooms are empty. Brendan room is empty. I just approved the last Bg on Hobsoft. Adrien has been a super trooper getting everything tidied up. I have the latest cut of the animatic on my ipod and we had a big meeting about compositing and so on earlier this week. Mainly it was just a confirmation of how we will work with Spirit and the Belgian studios. Theres still a fair amount of animation to do but the stuff from Kecskemet is looking good and its coming in fast. Feels like we are getting there ... theres a ways to go but I'm fixing my sights on finishing the "picture" now as soon as possible. Then we'll see about the music and sound and all that. Adrien and I are gonna start further development on the new feature in a week or two...thats exciting. Tod Polson dropped by this week too, he is working on his short movie the Gingerbread man and he used some of us salooners as voices. Its gonna be a funny one. Camille has gone home to her beau in Istanbul and she will continue to work from there going to the various studios and organising things from there. .....

and so you don't feel cheated with a load of text and no imagery heres a few
frames from one of the first approved and compisited scenes..looks good in motion...animation by Caroline Piochon here in CS , clean up from Lightstar studios in Brazil, ink and paint by Digital Graphics in Liege and compositing by Spirit in Angouleme.
